why cover them with electrical tape? Just clean the torso with an eraser of a tiny bit of nail polish. then you got basic black torsos.

What kind of eraser do you have? What's it made of sandpaper?

pull of the outer crust of the eraser and the rest is will power. really use a tiny absolutely tiny bit of nail polish and that works extremely well.

One has to ensure that amount is tiny - otherwise one runs the risk of smearing the print or corroding the plastic.
Needless to say, I've had some fun customising clone troopers in the past

I planned to do that eventually, actually since the tape has been on forever it's actually wittled away some of the printing anyway making it easier
