Wow, I can imagine some sick battles on those fields.

To date, this remains my very favorite battlefield on which I have had a battle: Ruins of Thairm.

As for a nice, open Medivo battlefield, well this would probably do it for me, all the way:

If we're talking favourite battlefield we've actually battled on, I really enjoyed this one from the Xenkan campaign. Really wish I'd of gotten a more interesting structure on the opposite side though. Still though for whatever reason everyone deployed really forward, so it made for a nice crunchy game with none of that tactical positioning bollocks.

As an aside, does anyone have any ideas on how to incorporate a straddle bus into a battle (more as part of the scenery than a vehicle/objective). I'm thinking of just using it for elevation, and having makeshift ramps spanning some distance between two building with the bus in the middle, but am not really sure.

Very much yes; but if you whisper any louder, other forum members might catch on that battles and fields might eventually be coming their way.

I invoke Skull Mountain, where more of my troops died to lava then to enemies.

This was a simple, but fun battlefield.

My ultimate goal with the Lego / BW Hobby is to make one of two enviornments for a battlefield.

First Choice - A Half Life 2 City 17 / Outlying regions lookalike. doesn't have to be a replica, and I have no intentions of building a citadel, but an urban enviornment mixed with military/police blockades, as well as outlands where the occupation presence is less common
Image

Second Choice - I also thought that the City of Bexhill UK in the movie Children of Men was pretty awesome, an entire city turned into a cordoned off refugee camp that is basically anarchy,

You know you've played too much HL2, when you see that image and without reading the text, think, oh that's HL2!
The blue walls did it.

Well, that -was- arguably one of the most iconic settings, in what was arguably one of the best games of all time.

I still fire that game up every 2 or 3 years for a full playthrough just for shits and giggles
