Ok guys need some help here.
Who of you uses MLCad to build and Pov-Ray to render models?
I have one i would really like to get rendered, but for now, i wouldn`t like to bother with the details of doing so. Would someone please render me this model? It is small, but it uses a lot of transparancy.
Picture will be used for a custom Stat-Card so everybody will be benefit from it anyway

Thx in advance
Flashhawk

Sorry, I only use Lightwave. If you can convert it to .lwo I'll take a look at it. Never heard of MLCad.
I've got the legs, waist, torso and neck of a minifig done. The head will be easy, the arms a bit tricky.

MLCAd is a proggi that lets u build lego models out of a database of bricks and pieces both officially and unofficially. So you can build models virtually the same way you would in real life. It uses a 3D-Technologie for that, but the actual render of stuff is bad. There are some scripts that are converting the MLCad data into Poser-compatible data, and u can even choose to use a special collection of High-Res-Bricks but as i said it sounds to complicated for me at this time in space to achieve a good result.
here are some links:

If you can convert from MLCad or the POV format into one of these, I could load it into Lightwave.

Hey I found a LDraw .dat to .lwo converter. I'm shocked! Its a bit old so I don't know if the .dat format has changed at all since 2002.
http://www.joern-thiemann.de/tools/LDraw2LWS/index.html
Grab that, you need to read some instructions and hand edit an INI file to set some paths. The converter needs access to the part files.
Just do a simple 2x2 brick as a sample. Then post the .lwo file.

Hello Flashhawk, I use MLCad, but I don't render using POVray, I use my own "special flat" rendering method. Have a look at
my Brickshelf folder for many examples. I would be happy to render your model using my method if you want.
