Kurgan Street Battle. GR vs Pact 2 vs 2 (Finished)

GR platoon moves out, one squad heads straight down the street, the other moves north through the alleys. A medik, HMG gunner and rifleman move into the pawn shop to set up a forward defense.





Furthermore, a gunner and another grunt squeeze themselves through a gap between buildings


The first squad sprints further down the road together as far as it can

One of the squad leaders rallies his troops and prepares them to move


The Sniper heads into the nearby building


He throws his rifle up onto the roof and climbs up the roof


...Narrowly avoiding injury as part of the roof collapses


The first squad moves down the street on both sides *Not shown, the soldier at the back of the line on the left took the grenade*


Medics from both squads attempt to revive fallen soldiers nearby.


(Skill rolls 1 / 4) Critical Fail!, One medic succeeds but the other epic fails, removing any chance that that minifig could live again.


The other squad cuts across the street into the police station lot, the pointman grossly overestimates the strength of the fence and tackles it. A commotion of troops scatter in different directions as the rebels move out.

The Shock Sniper moves out first


Using rubble as steps, he climbs atop a ruined house and looks downrange to the east


With most other angles already covered, The rest of Recon simply moves forward

VK Move down the road on opposite sides


A scared civilian panics as he sees someone pass the hole in the wall. he fires a shotgun


Critical Fail! he blast knocks him back and the weapon falls to the ground, and goes off again, blowing him to bits.


They troops now position themselves in cover the best they can.

TURN 2

Bann


Front squad moves into the park, spreading out and grabbing cover where they can with the intention of holding this position.


Both the LMG and HMG gunners set down and train their guns downrange


Part of the second squad meets up with Recon and provides them some support


The others of that group squeeze through the gap and deploy their LMG and Rifle in a barricade bunker


A Grunt fails to resist temptation and grabs the plasma rifle


The other half of the second squad barricades the pawn shop, the HMG gunner deploys his gun on a makeshift barricade


The Officer joins the troops in the barricade using it as a temporary outpost. The troops start to safely store grenades they picked up across the store, and away from one another

The Front squad charges down the road to get into position


Unfortunately, GR lie in wait with machineguns trained on the road.


Although they are so crowded, and the HMG is not ready to fire, only the LMG, NCO and a grunt are ready to fire.


Two Confederate soldiers get taken down in the burst


After the fire, the rest of the squad scatters for cover splitting up across the road.


The officer commands the rocket soldier to fire down the road at the car.


The rocket narrowly hits its target, just touching the edge of the car, the explosion kills the LMG gunner, sends the car flying back stunning the Squad Lead and another grunt, a second grunt gets pulverized, and the bumper of the car flies back and narrowly misses another machinegunner.


More Troops start to smash the barricade on the window of the bar


Two rebels use their actions and tear down the plates, and smash the window


Two make it inside and move furniture around trying to blockade the windows and doors facing west


The Rebel sniper sees a white clad sniper in the distance and fires, but misses.


All remainding troops from the rear squad that didnt go into the bar, including two medics and a gunner, flank around the office building and meet up with VK forces

Half of the recon squad raids a nearby house


Inside they find two small medical paks, and a fire extinguisher. As well as some ammunition and what looks to be a police scanner


Seeing black blobs down the road, they rush to the wall, the sniper fires!


Hit!, a Conglomerate trooper is flanked by the window and is sniped


The other recon team stacks up behind the truck


One pulls the box of grenades back behind the truck and out of the line of fire




On the rooftop of the house, the Recon leader sees a target of opportunity and fires




It wasnt the one he wanted to kill, but he took the shot anyway and got him.



Elsewhere, a building crumbles

Just a warning, every turn is looking at potentially a 24-48 hour delay between orders being recieved and posts, I've been very busy with work since we had to do some damage control this week losing 2/5 days of the week to power outages and snowstorms

VK Troops move forward, sensing a hazard, they push the grenade box out of the way. Two hide behind a tall barricade , two more ready weapons and the lance soldier draws his weapon


They fire at the sniper


They miss, punching dents and holes in the side of the house


Lancer emerges with weapons drawn...


Lunging forward he throws the GT Javelin at the truck


CRITICAL FAIL He misses, and the javelin flies into the ammo dump. Soldiers on both sides cringe as they see this happen


Mass detonation. The barrels explode in a huge blast, sending secondary explosions everywhere as barrels fly outward


Hitting buildings...


Landing by the truck killing a GR Recon operator..

And another barrel flies toward the lancer and he's also killed. Having little time to regret his actions *pic missing, I'll take another and reupload ASAP. was too blurry*


A two story building collapses, Republic troops rushing to the frontline stop dead in their tracks and stare in awe at the carnage. an eerie silence takes hold over the streets for a few seconds as machineguns stop firing, and some minifigs on both sides of the front start laughing or cheering

back to business, a Republic Shuka gunner arc-fires over the low wall while riflemen fire in the background


The Shuka hoses down the two Rebel soldiers with their backs against the wall at the bar.


Two troops take shots downrange at the officer and rocket soldier


A Rebel dives and redshirts himself. saving the officer


Two Republic soldiers rush forward and shout insults across the line as they toss a barrage of stick grenades at the VK


The grenades don't land where they intended, a few inches short


detonating, they still soften up their cover


Reaction: Rebel Machine gunner sees an opportunity and fires down the path


He kills two GR Soldiers


Elsewhere. The group of troops in the slums move up to reinforce recon positions.


The GR Officer steps out of the forward observation post and screams at the two soldiers sitting in the bunker, not doing anything. To fire down range, they arc fire, but in his blood rage, the officer critfails and fires straight


He hits an NCO in the gut, but is unharmed.


The gunner is hit in the face by a stray round


More rounds land on the position, another Rebel thinks he is safe in this position, the damage rolls are enough to break the cover and tag him in the back.


A lone Rebel soldier realizes he is the only one on his side still alive in his squad,


He scrambles for cover hehind some rubble

basically, yeah.

that was a fuel dump, there's still grenade caches and shit that are almost as explosive sitting around

I gotta take some of the barrels off the plates still, and add some more rubble
