The factions to be claimed:
HMS Mimi
Image
HMS Toutou
Image
SMS Kingani

The Mimi and Toutou are allied, but the Kingani is more larger and more powerful than either one. Each team has a hero.

Also DJ Squidley gets dibs, for suggesting this

I'm in on HMS Mimi (unless DJ gets dibs). Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes!

May I note that the weaponry is size 4 gun with 2d10 exp. +1d4 fire damage and a size 2 machinegun on the British, and a size 4 machinegun with 2d10 exp. +1d4 fire damage. This is to model the weaponry on the actual ships. sadly, no torpedoes are used (or are they?) I might add in forces later, depends on how long this battle takes.

...didn't I say full speed ahead and damn the torpedos? :)

Maybe some kind of picture of the arrangement at the start of the battle?

(Also, the wiki page is great. "The boats were transported to South Africa and from there by railway, by river, and by being dragged through the African jungle, to the lake.")

I will get the prologue done sometime soon, and the epilogue when the battle is over. The prologue will just be a summary of the wiki, but with a few pics.
the ships are positioned like this:

Quick question, which army is mine?

Cakeman has the Mimi, DJ Squidley has the Toutou, and Deiknes22 has the Kingani.

TURN 1

On the HMS Toutou...
Image
The hero fires at the side of the Kingani.
Image
A few bricks are knocked off, and one soldier is killed.

On the SMS Kingani...
Image
Full Speed ahead. The revolving Hotchkiss hits only once, now requires reload. One of the Toutou's troops is killed, and the hero survives the blast.

Troops line up and prepare to fire.
Image

On the HMS Mimi...
Image
The Mimi moves just within firing range of its cannon, but outside the range of the troops' long ranged rifles.

The shot barely hits, also not dealing enough damage to kill any soldiers.
Image

This shall not die!

Turn 2 orders! Send 'em!
