SSA Armored

the guy in the police semi decides to get out...

and suicide bomb himself along with the semi. He shoots the engine.


BOOOOM!



The explosion also blows deathstorm off of the trailer of the semi. His armor rating is exceeded, and he barely lives, even using all of his SN dice (and he has a lot of 'em) for armor.

The rest if the team shoots again at the enemy, either missing or not exceeding armor ratings. Those Burghers are hard to kill!



DRK Infantry
geez motorhead_fan, where are you??

Iceworlders and Aliens

They all scream a frightening battle cry, jumping everywhere and shooting at everything in range.






the explosion was not enough to kill the noble captain, but he was thrown into the fire.



much chaos ensues.

Space Austrians

With their hero on fire (not able to do much), the remaining Burgher and troop shoot into the SSA Armored, not killing anyone. They retreat back some more.

SSA Tank
since the DRK Tank is not in range or line of sight, your gunner decides to turn the cannon and shoot the Iceworlder Aircraft.



After having mowed down several troops, the thing had it coming.

The tank rams into some aliens, killing them.



DRK Gunnery



shoots, kills, and still up for grabs. It seems that nobody is going to claim these guys, or any of the others. hmm....

SSA Fire Support






The hero uses his feat to stab the front of the vehicle.
He kills the pilot inside.



The shot from last turn comes down.

SSA Armored
They make a barrier of dead bodies, giving them +1/3 cover.


DRK Infantry
Finally, the units come to life. The tank moves up, and aims at the SSA Armored troops.

It crit fails, shooting the Space Austrian.


Iceworlders and Aliens
They attack Darkstorm.

Just before the death-dealing blow is struck, he vanishes into thin air.

Also, several figs jump up onto the tank, killing the pilot, but not Firestorm.


Space Austrians
The hero rolls out of the fire. (the hero is the last unit)


SSA Tank
The Hero uses a heroic feat to spin the barrel around, throwing off and killing 2 figs and injuring 1.


DRK Gunnery
They shoot, they kill.


SSA Fire Support
The rocket-suit guy shoots a missile into the hole in the tank. The explosion kills the hero (Tastyskippy123 Eliminated)


Meanwhile, the hero attacks the dino-riding alien.

He kills it, but not the rider.



At this point, I think the Darkstorm empire has basically won. 5 troops and a hero (SSA) vs 2 troops and a 3" creature (Ice&Alien) vs 5 troops, 2 heroes, and an undamaged ANTI-INFANTRY tank (DRK). I'll call it done. If the battle were to go on, it would consist of either frantic retreat or mindless suicide.
