The Crystal Guardians march to battle, led by Birgitte Of The Twin Powers.
"Stand firm and shoot straight! The field will be ours this day!"
The force consists of the hero Birgitte, four minifigs, a sniper, and a mysterious magikian.

Opposing them are the Faceless Elite, commanded by Mask-Captain Bravo.
"Move out! Spirit readings indicate high tactical values in the area!"
This force consists of the hero Bravo, four minifigs, a sniper, and a medik.

There is also a third party present: Skater Skellie, a rad chick with a board, an attitude, and two sharp blades.
As a non-player faction, Skater Skellie is controlled by whoever is last in the initiative order each turn.

The battle takes place in a landscape that has already suffered heavily in the Crystallo-Spiritus war.

The snipers start the battle in hiding, of course, only appearing as blips. Who knows which blip is the real one? Not even their commanders.
Turn 1

The Elite wins initiative on the first turn, and move up.

So do the Guardians.

Skater Skellie kicks her board forward, but can't quite reach the Elite this turn.

In the Hero phase, Bravo unleashes the Curse of the False Mask upon one of his armored enemies.

Success! The armor is possessed and turned into a ravenous monstrosity!

The poor guy gets his head chewed off.

Birgitte raises her staff to let the enemy feel the wrath of the Twin Powers.

A searing beam of energy strikes one of the Elite down!

In the Action phase, Skater Skellie should have gone first since she is Fast on her skateboard, but I forgot. She just moved 1" so whatever. The Elite run forward, grabbing cover. The medik leaps onto the ground by the fallen trooper, hoping to revive him next turn.

The Guardians also run into cover.

The Magikian prepares to cast a spell, expending 2 of his 3 power dice. He rolls a 2 and a 2. That means he has to choose result 2, which lets him revive a unit just like a medik.

Perfect!

Moving onto the Slow units, the Guardians' sniper reveals himself. He needs to roll a 2 or more for a headshot... and rolls a one. Wow.
Turn 2

The Guardians win initiative, and Birgitte charges an enemy trooper. The rest of the force moves forward.

The paranoid sniper dives down into cover, having to go back to hiding before he can fire again.

The Elite trooper retreats from Birgitte. She doesn't get to attack him as he runs, since he is Steady and she is Slow with her two-handed weapon. Bravo charges in instead, setting the scene for a heroic duel... The other troopers move to engage the enemy.

This blip moves up onto a pillar. Uh oh.

Since the Elite lost initiative, Skater Skellie is helping them this turn. She flips her board around and ollies up to a Guardian.

Birgitte declares her Heroic Feat: She will make a quick punt with the Twin Powers to unbalance Bravo, giving herself the advantage and becoming Fast this turn. In response, Bravo declares a Counter-Feat: he'll cut off one crystal from the Twin Powers, turning it into a one-handed weapon. The Heroes roll off...

Birgitte blocks, and the Twin Powers hold firm!

She swings, and Bravo is knocked down, losing hold of one katana! A bad position to be in...

The Action phase is up, and Birgitte swings. Fortunately for Bravo, a helpful trooper leaps in to push him away and get crushed in his place.

Skater Skellie disembowels one of the Guardians.

An Elite is shot by a Guardian, and the revived soldier runs back to the fight.

The magikian tries another spell. He regains one power dice, and had one left over from last turn, and so rolls them both. A 3 and a 6. That means he must attack as if armed with either a two-handed weapon or a flamethrower. A two-handed weapon could only target himself, so that's out of the question. And a flamethrower has a short range, sadly...

Sorry!

Bravo gets back up and attack Birgitte, but she easily blocks his swing.

This trooper shoots and blows a chunk out of the wall.

The medik successfully revives a downed man! He lost a hand in the procedure though.

The Guardian sniper goes back into stealth mode...

...while the Elite sniper comes out of stealth.

Headshot! Or should that be hatshot?
Turn 3

The Elite win initiative. The fire kills the burning Guardian and spreads to a fence.

The medik fearlessly leaps down next to the heroic duel to save another trooper. The revived soldier goes towards the enemy, and the sniper climbs down from the pillar.
Bravo snatches up a gun from the ground.

A Guardian trooper retreats into cover, and Skater Skellie changes her mind again, flipping down behind the Elite medik.

Blips are on the move.

Birgitte declares her Feat: Kicking away the torso of the dead Elite so he can't be revived this turn. Bravo does not respond with a Counter-Feat, since he has something else in mind...

Birgitte succeeds. That trooper won't be put back together this turn.

Bravo's Feat will be this: A super cool shot to the side, like, not even looking, to take out Skater Skellie before she kills his medik. And double damage because he's so cool.
You can easily see how this could go wrong.

Bravo succeeds! And rolls snake eyes for damage. Skellie is fine.

In the Action phase, Skater Skellie is free to keep stabbing. Medik! Oh, wait.

Another shot from the Elite hits the wall, bricks crash down around the Guardian.

Bravo attacks Birgitte, and she makes a Redshirt roll. But it's too low!

She gets her head blown off!

No doubt demoralised by the fall of their hero, the Guardian soldiers whiff their shots.

The Elite sniper goes back in hiding.

The other sniper pops out, shoots, and rolls a one. Again.
Turn 4

Initiative goes to the Elite again. They charge forward.

But Skater Skellie isn't finished yet...

Bravo declares his Feat. He's going to kick Skellie's board behind him, making her fall off, and steal it for himself. Then he will begin a new career as a Mask-Skater.

Ha! He is no match for Skater Skellie! She flips the board above her, launching Bravo into the air...

...and he lands with a splat.
The fall only did 1D6 damage, but Bravo rolled snake eyes again for his armor, and... yeah.

Skater Skellie rides away from the scene like a boss.

The Elites attack the Guardian with all they've got, but his armor holds.

This guy gets shot from the front and the back, but survives.

The sniper comes out of hiding.

Another headshot! She's just piling them up!

The other sniper is back in hiding, trying to figure out how to not suck.
Turn 5

Initiative remains with Elite. The fire in the fence went out.
The Elite sniper is heading for a new position, while the troopers move on to the next target.

Skater Skellie circles around, and so do the Guardian sniper blips.

No one kills anyone. Boring. The Elite sniper is back in hiding.

The Guardian sniper misses his third shot because he's just useless like that.
Turn 6

Initiative to the Guardians this turn. The sniper moves up on the hill.

Skater Skellie moves around for a sick trick...

...which she pulls off!

The Guardian sniper goes back into hiding.
And with only blips left on the field, the Crystal Guardians are defeated. The sniper sneaks off in shame. He'll have to spend a few months doing target practice against the broad sides of barns.

The Faceless Elite have secured the area.

Now the survivors can sit back, relax, and watch some sick pro skating.
