Developed by Frade Automotive, the Cavalier was built to provide South Mirthanese troops protection in urban enviroments, specifically from rocket attacks, IEDs, and small arms fire typical of Asymmetrical warfare. After the Narishce insurgency, and Grun Island uprising, the South Mirthanese army saw need for a Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected vehicles. With current interventions in Vagar and Hundtland, the vehicle has proven to be a sound investment.
The Vehicle is protected with thick armor resistant up to .50cal, although layering allows it to absorb rocket impacts as well. The ballistic class is extremely thick, and the whole frame features an angled hull to deflect blasts from underneath.
The first units were operational by 2015. Currently only 450 are in service, but the army is hoping to replace some of the Kw3 Lancer vehicles, adding more armor to the vehicle fleet.

Typically, the Cavalier carries a .50cal mg. The gunner is protected by heavy plating. The gunner also has access to a searchlight for looking into dark alleys, window, and any other place insurgents would be hiding. The gunner can adjust the angle of the light with a handle inside the turret plating
