Hey what did you guys think about lepin being shut down? I have a couple cloan clones because I wanted to see how good they were. Anybody use lepin sets?

Totally a legit thing to do, since Lepin straight-up bootlegged LEGO's IP. Seems like it might hurt more legal clone brands if they used Lepin's bricks.

Other companies can make compatible building blocks since LEGO's patent has expired, but they have to make their own set designs. Lepin didn't care, they just made exact duplicates of released LEGO sets. That violates the copyrights of LEGO and the properties they license, like Star Wars.

ooh that makes sense. Haha pretty sure I'm wrong about who made my crappy cloan troopers, although I didn't think the Chinese government would actually do something about them
