Re: The 2,020 Blarney Build
Man, so many great entries this year. I never managed to get my shit together for mine, but I did want to share my cocktail recipe anyway, in the spirit of inebriation.
The Rabid Leprechaun
Needed: 1 cocktail tumbler/rocks glass OR 1 julip cup OR 1 half pint beer glass and 1 shot glass
2 oz Hard Rootbeer
2 oz Stout (in honor of the Blarney, this should be Guinness, but an oatmeal stout has a good body for this)
1 shot Irish Cream Liqueur
1/2 shot Absinthe
Combine rootbeer and stout in the tumbler. Then fill your shot glass with a shot of Irish cream and float half a shot of absinthe on top. Drop the shot into the rootbeer stout and shoot the whole thing in one go. CHUG! Do not stop in the middle or it will be bad. It starts with a strong fennel/black licorice taste then finishes tempered by the Irish cream to have a flavor that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike a rootbeer float. It's foamy and frothy, has a dab o' green, and tastes like a bitter black jellybean. This approaches the territory of a punishment shot. If that's your thing this will be your thing.

Sorry for the delay. I see some of the judges have started judging. Thank you very much. If you haven't already judged the entries, please go ahead whenever you're ready.

Re: The 2,020 Blarney Build
I just need to judge the LDD builds, did bursts depending on competition type. Taking a small break to catch my breath and maybe take a shower since I'm also fighting against a stomach flu (right in the middle of the Corona virus so yaaaaay).

Re: The 2,020 Blarney Build
Years of constantly getting ill have made me surprisingly resilient to most side-effects of being ill. I'm going to end up with an immune system where I kill everyone around me simply by not noticing the symptoms of the next black plague I'm carrying somehow.
Also Quantumsurfer c'mon man
Re: The 2,020 Blarney Build
Finished with judging. Even the missing ones now. Good contest with many high quality entries. At least we all know how to kill time reasonably.

Thanks to all participants for your entries into this year's Blarney Build.
A fantastic number of entries this year that really both stepped outside the box and pushed the envelope for what should become the accepted standard. Excellent builds all around, as usual. There were a lot of pretty close races so special mentions go to ninja's sleek and simple Trat build, Mario's wildly inventive Maniac Beer Laboratory, the dead heat between Duerer's annual Polish entry and Archduke's slick looking Battlegroup, and Bookwyrm's kickass dragon at the Infernal Gates. I hope that this year's contest and its incredible entries will inspire more builds in the immediate future and I look forward to next year's buildoff. Without further ado, I announce the winner of this year's contest:

Re: The 2,020 Blarney Build
Oh sweet. Grats to the other winners. This year's entries have been pretty lit overall.
EDIT: Damn, did I really just win the digital trophy for the third year in a row?
