A few questions

Post by Massam » Thu Jan 15, 2009 4:54 pm

Ok, this is my first post, so hi!
Anyway, I have a few rules questions.
6. Armor: Do helmets count as armor in the standard rules? Or is that just quickwars?
7. Doors: Are doors surface elements, or weak points.(Not blast doors, just normal house doors.
8. Is a ninja feat the same as a hero feat?

I've read through the 2005 rules, and want to play a few games before I try to understand the 2001 rules ( So if my questions are answered in there, sorry).
Thanks!

#s 1-5?

8. Is a ninja feat the same as a hero feat?

Ninja is a specific cliche' of hero, each hero has one of these, be it Super Strength, Matrix Avenger or whatever, so ther is no such thing as a generic 'hero feat'

6: 2001 rules yes, 2005 no

7: Surface elements usually, but it depends on how you're playing that day. It can be classified as either without anything being game-ruiningly broken.

8: Yes, so long as the feats are something that you would expect a Ninja to do.

Oh, I wasn't sure, because the card says ninja feat, thanks!
Oh, and I've heard that lists can start on 6. I've been lurking for a few weeks.
So doors can be anything...hmm, thanks.

Oh, I have another one. What makes a minifig a dimmy? Is it an arbitrary choice, or is there a distinguishing feature they all have?

If it looks like it suffers from some sort of mentally-debilitating ailment then it's probably a dimmy.

and i quote and paraphrase from memory the 2001 rules... "perfect dimmies can be made from minifigs whose faces had rubbed off, had them drawn in sharpie but the marker slipped and now they look 'tarded."

very difficult.
But seriously man, if you got any just 'blank-stare smiley' figs, you can just say they're dimmies. what do you need dimmies for anyway?

P.S. welcome to brikwars!

Smiley figs are pure strain, they're genetic elites. All other faces are lesser descendents.

Dimmies were a horrible bizarro version of minifigs that came out with the Time Twister sets like twenty years ago. They had googly eyes and even noses. It was horrible. A good example can be seen here:

Did you mean to show me an awesome borg minifig?
I have another question. I know that a minifig can only pick things up if they are equal or in smaller in size than a 4x2. Can they shove or pull things around? For example, I can't pick up my bed, but I can drag it around my room.
