The Legionnaires advance, shield wall intact, the few able to hit their targets don't do any damage.
The Terrorkhan are nearly to the trench. I saved their attack for response fire since attacking through the bunker wall would be challenging.
The troops inside the bunker fired in response themselves but didn't hit.
"D̶̼͍̉͌́Í̴̯É̸̠̪N̴̫̝̓̚ͅÉ̷͕̗K̶͋͜Ė̶̝̈́͘S̶̹̪̮̄̍̚!̷̪͔́" Eldon shouts.
"Eldon," the Skion hero mutters in return.
Soon they will clash (when there's a better photo op
)(Due to past beef between the Heroes... they cannot be targeted by other units!)
The Headhunter moves forward through the trees and ruins.
The weapons team gets away from the blast zone.
There is a concentrated effort to breach the walls of the bunker.
The rocket launcher and heavy gun were nearly able to overcome the thick concrete, and with the addition of the shells from the Headhunter....
Unfortunately, the Headhunter rolled TWO crit-fails.
(Normally, I'd just have the shells explode in the chamber and likely destroy the mech, but it just got here and it looks great, so instead...)
The mortar shell misfires and lands a few inches away, right behind the Legionnaires...
The incendiary shell meekly slips out of the tube and explodes at the feet of the walker, creating a size 1 fire in the grass, because it isn't a Dienekes battle without spreading flames!
The Legionnaires, unfortunately, are killed.
The jet pack troopers fly onto the bunker. They shoot at their closest targets but can't overcome the armor of the Phalanx hardsuits.
The remining infantry easily blow away two Dominion troopers.
The Brootalz charge forward.
They slay the last Dominion trooper in the trench and occupy it themselves.
The War Manager is unable to damage the hardsuits.
The artillery shell lands harmlessly amongst the ruins as Dienekes and Eldon clash with fire and fury.
Eldon, finally being able to use the fire effect built for his feat in turn 2 that ended up being unnecessary, breaks past Dienekes' defenses and deals 1HP of damage!
Dienekes returns the blow with one of his own, taking 1HP from Eldon!
The artillery loads another shell...
But this time the results are disasterous.
The weapon and its crew are no more.
The machine gun saves its attack for later.
The jump pack Devastator flies into action.
With horrible efficiency she dispatches the Immortal officer. He falls to the ground away from the roof that might have to be removed for photos......
These Devastators move to the left.
While the officer moves to the right. He uses his pack mortar but the damage roll is too low.
These Phalanxes hit but deal low damage.
The same happens here.
The Luchardsko rocket trooper fires point blank. The damage isn't enough to overcome the shield wall but the Legionnaires are disrupted.
The officer attempts a mighty feat, duel wielding rifles at the oncoming IM!
The feat fails, and the shots sail wide. Now he is exposed.
The IM hero (who needs a name) attempts a feat herself...
Using mystical magikal power, she takes hold of the barbed wire...
... launching it at the machine gun crew!
Success! The men are strangled and skewered by magik wire!
The rocketeer lines up...
The shot hits true with incredible damage. Both Phalanxes are destroyed.
The rest of the squad advances.
They kill one trooper outright and take 1HP from the officer!
Here come the minions...
Mr. Skeltal grabs the War Manager!
He throws him far. The Manager bounces off the bunker and lands, broken, on the concrete.
He isn't dead, yet. He's lost 1HP and most of his hardsuit.
Reinforcements!
"The enemy surrounds us!" one of them shouts, "we were all that could be spared!"
Luchardsko has a trooper and a heavy machine gun! The Dominion has a trooper and a medik!
