The Kingdom of Orlogrod is one of the biggest military powers in the Azure Galaxy. Despite facing several internal and external crises at once, the Kingdom is determined to secure its position in the Purple Subsector.

Being the bread and butter of the Orlogrodian Army, the Soldiers don advanced combat armour, allowing them to operate in nearly every climate. Each squad is led by a sergeant and equipped with up to two special weapons.

Auxiliary Troopers are using less advanced combat gear and are usually used as town guards.

However, parts of the auxiliaries also fight on horseback wielding powerful laser lances. These Uhlans make formidable scouts and fast attack units, even if their tactics may seem antiquated to some field commanders.

In an effort to upgrade part of the auxiliary forces into motorized divisions, Orlogrodian engineers keep working on a new armoured bike, serving as a mobile weapons platform.

The extensive presence of horses in the Orlogrodian army is not (just) due to budget cuts but also because of the century-old success of Orlogrodian cavalry units. The Armoured Companions are one of these units that still stand the test of time. Armed with energy hammers and power shields, they can make quick work out of bigger obstacles standing in the way of their fellow soldiers.

The Winged Hussars are without a doubt among the most skilful horsemen in the Orlogrodian cavalry. Their lances offer additional range for charging attacks, while the wings on their back serve as additional power converters for both their armour and their weapons.

Just the mere sight of the Royal Guards’ crimson armour can strike fear in the heart of even the bravest adversary. Extremely loyal towards the King of Orlogrod, these brutal elite warriors show no mercy when they slice up their foes with their halberds, given they weren’t roasted by the built-in flamethrowers beforehand.

The Royal Guard Strike Force is deployed for more delicate operations, that don’t necessarily involve guarding the royal palace. Flying above the heads of their enemies, they thin out enemy lines with their grenade launchers before mowing down the leftovers with their pulse rifles.

The Royal Guard employs its very own Hussar warbands equipped with flame lances. While undoubtedly skilled horsemen, the Royal Guard Hussars are mostly seen as rivals by ordinary Hussar warbands, who distance themselves from a lot of Royal Guard tactics.

Field Commander Sergiusz Radziwiłł is a veteran of numerous wars and as such only lives for the heat of battle, even if it can make him difficult to work with. Only very few people know his age or have seen the face beneath his helmet. He rides to battle on a huge mechanical stead, while wielding a plasma gun and a barbed energy sword, dealing grievous wounds to his enemies.

Kastellan Konrad Sierakowski is the highest-ranking member of the Royal Guard, answering to no one but the King of Orlogrod. As such he is generally seen as arrogant and uncooperative by regular army officers. In spite of that, he is nigh unmatched in horsemanship and is not afraid to take on any foe in a one-by-one fight, be it a tank or even a mech.
