[HPH22] Dwarven Cow-valry

Post by sahasrahla » Thu Sep 29, 2022 11:01 am

Here's my spontaneous last-minute entry just for giggs.

Horses don't fit in dwarf caves. Donkeys and dwarves don't get along due to mutual stubbornness often resulting in hours-long tug-of-war matches. Goats are stupidly expensive and my god, if you think their screams are annoying on an open field, just imagine how much worse they echo in a cramped tunnel. However dwarves have managed to breed a certain strain of smaller, more aggressive cave bulls which serve nicely for their mounted division. As spears are generally dismissed by dwarves as prissy elf weapons, they often wield hammer-lances ideal for smashing even the hardiest of enemy skulls. People don't think of cows as dangerous but that's because they've never been run down by a seven-hundred-pound angry and heavily-armored bull mounted by an equally angry and armored dwarf. And in the dwarven tunnels, there's nowhere to run.

This is so stupidly hilarious and I love it!

Also, that background... I'm jelly.

One of the cardinal rules of Brikwars: anything can be a battle mount if you try hard enough.

I really enjoy this one. It's always fun to see the animal molds used in unexpected ways.
