The Floaters, like all other Cyborg Units of the Vomarsk Swarm, were designed by the Cyber Queen in an attempt to save her drones from death and make them more powerful than ever before. While these Cyborgs are seen as impure abominations by many, they did proof to be effective enough and soon other swarms would begin to also use some of the Cyber Designs.

Floater Drones are the most common of all the Cyborg Units. They were once normal drones that have since been upgraded with a hover module - like all other floaters - and dual Arekkon Plasma cutters, a variant of the typical staff cannons carried by infantry and Swarm Vipers.

While most Cyborg Units are technically still infantry, Heavy Floaters are more comparable to light tanks. They were previously Laser Troopers, or Devastators, an elite type of drone in power armor. Their new Floater body is even more of a weapons platform than their power armor already was.

Like Floater Drones, the heavy floaters are equipped with dual plasma rifles, although the Heavy Floaters Variant is more comparable to the armament of some fighters than infantry weapons. Their main weapon is their massive plasma cannon, taken directly from the Swarm's heavier Fighters and Bombers.

Even some higher ranking Vomarsk were given Cyborg bodies. These Floater Commanders have some more specialized equipment than most other Cyborg Units.

Most notably they had a miniaturized sonar cannon built into their arm. A less noticeable, but even more important, part of their new body is what appears to be their "backrest". This is, in fact, a psionic conductor that allows the commanders to command their troops telepathically even better than before.
This battlepack also includes a small transmitter. It can be used for scanning and long range communication. (althoug admittedly, this is just a bunch of spare parts for...)

Since a lot of people don't like having officers in their battle packs, this one comes with an alternate build for the Floater Commander. Using parts from the Floater Commander and the transmitter, a Communications Officer and a Sonar Turret can be built instead (you're still getting an officer, but at least it's a different one).
The Communications officer has an Uplink directly linked to his spine that allows him to easily communicate with far away fleets.
The Sonar Turret is a modular defensive station. It is composed of three major components: a stationary sonar cannon as well as two barricades as cover for the gunner.
Notes:
- Since there technically has been a forum Post about the Vomarsk Swarm before, this could be considered a Legacy Faction. But since I never really did a lot with the Swarm other than that one army post, I'd call this a New Faction Entry still.
- ignore the Communications officer having orange eyes instead of green ones, that's not part of the alt build, that's me just grabbing another commander I had lying around and not bothering to change his eyes.
- if anyone is interested in instructions for these, I can supply an LDD or studio file with the different builds (just know that the commander's body parts are in neither of the two, so I had to take some liberties when building them digtally)
