[HPH24] - Universal Arms M888 "Triple Eight" Howitzer

The Shadowy commercial & industrial conglomerate known as the Syndikat has its hands in all sorts of markets and fields across Mir. And one of the biggest businesses bar none, is the war business. Amongst a number of various specialty equipment and weapon manufacturers making smaller scale projects for individual nations and groups on contract. One of the most widespread arms of their military-industrial complex, is the Universal Arms Company. (UAC)

UAC mass produces equipment for anyone and everyone, usually generic, cheap, and robust designs. Most nations and armed groups use their equipment to plug holes in their arsenal.

One exception to this is the Triple-Eight, the M888 Howitzer. This is a medium range, Medium caliber towed artillery peice that is produced in the tens of thousands. The gun is ubiquitous. It is the most common general purpose artillery peice on the planet, so much that practically every country's armed forces that bother to use artillery, use the M888. Even warring factions.

Initially, I wanted to hate this, but it is a pretty ingenious build.

Style: 9 Seriously, you made it collapsible, it's got outriggers, a towing hitch, this is a real working piece.

Substance: 8 You clearly put some thought into this, taking the idea of aiming the barrel into account with those side-adjusters formed from the tubing and claw-rods.

Photography: 6 There's that matte field of anti-skid mat again, but it does work as a muddy flat field I suppose. Good focus, decent lighting, nice views from different angles, and that last photo in the forest scene really sets the context. However, no parts break-down, and I had to dock points for that.

Story: 9 Pretty basic concept for a story, but the context you provided for it works very well.
