Brik-by-brik

Though equipped with all kinds of walkers and fast recon vehicles, StarCorps lacked a crucial type of combat unit - tanks! This inexcusable drawback now ends with the introduction of several new tank types. Beginning with an impressive behemoth - the...

One of these rolling fortresses has enough range and firepower to take out a small outpost in short time.
Three size 7" main barrels that can be fired individually or simultaneously, a size 3" gatling and a rocket-pod with 6 size 2" rockets are an impressive main armament. additional firepower could be added to several hardpoints, even if the energy would have to be heavily diverted then.

Cargo space and crew capacity allow it to operate autonomously for several days, the minimal crew consists of a driver, a gunner and in some cases a tank commander. Space is enough to hold a complete squad of troopers or even 2 soldier squads. But more likely the crew is complemented with technicians or other specialists, for troop transportation is usually taken care of by the Phalanx APC

The complete design is kept modular, so it´s easier to transport, repair and modify (and hopefully easier survives being brought to cons someday)

The BOAST: Man, I´ve really learned much about angled building the last days. Although I could use some techniques used in former MOCs (like the Ether´s Empress), many angles were hard to combine while looking good and being stable at once. And I can say my skills improved with trial and error in the last years, for it took barely a week to slam this thing together. Also, unlike most years before, I didn´t have to order pieces and could fully rely on stocked parts. And I´m highly satisfied with the result.

Style - 10/10.
I don’t know where to begin. The colour scheme is clean, I love the shaping, the faction insignia built into the armour plates is a beautiful touch, as is the greebling to bring some interest to otherwise plain plate pieces. The massive triple turret is absolutely kickass. I could go on. The styling cannot be faulted.

Substance - 9/10.
The level of detail and the scale of the build alone are already deserving of a very high score. Add to that the skillfully achieved angles, and clever modular construction, and we are in the realm of supreme building. I knocked a point off just because I think the rather plain interior doesn’t match the otherwise excellent level of detail.

Presentation - 5/5
Clear pictures, several angles including illustration of modularity, good lighting, a background which I feel is appropriate to subject matter but does not distract in any way.

Boast - 7/10
You’re proud of it and deservedly so - I would have liked a more outrageous claim or an action pic of the tank causing mayhem to push for a higher boast score.
