[FF26] Back on my bullshit again

Post by sahasrahla » Sat Feb 07, 2026 9:35 pm

Every year I enter the figbarf i accidentally make a theme for myself, this year i guess it's magic mofos. anyway

Sukka Snagjaw
"I cast... HOWARD'S HORRIFIC HEMMORHAGE!"

Sukka believes himself to be the greatest living goblin wizard. And, to be fair, his magic is pretty powerful. But he's never read an arcane treatise. He's never studied at a wizarding school. He probably doesn't know how to read. His magic is powered entirely by the mushrooms that exclusively make up his diet. And he doesn't cast, like, magic missiles or fireballs. He takes a big-ass bite out of some speckly red toadstool and screams POWER WORD TWERK or BESTOW LEPROSY or some shit and that pretty much ends every wizard duel he's ever been in.

Leopold Leaplily
"Stop asking to see the tongue thing. Mom told me not to do the tongue thing."

Future top student at Mrs. Leaplily's Arcane Academy for Gifted Amphibians, as soon as he's old enough to attend. Yes, Mrs. Leaplily is his mom. He's already read every textbook for every class at the academy, and can recite whole pages from memory. He's never actually cast a spell, but he's sure he'll be a natural starting from day one. Suffers from indigestion and "wet palms". He's great to have at your table on trivia night, though.

Mykoan Vigilant
(this character is Kustom)
Mykos is a tiny, isolated nation, trapped between jagged mountains and a cursed blightland known as Osilith's Vigil. The harsh conditions of their homeland have bred a steadfast and relentless culture of survivors who fear neither pain nor deprivation. Mykoan Vigilants are the standardbearers of their armies, and they march at the front of the lines to bear witness to the deeds of their brothers.
Expect to see more of this new faction coming soon!

High Priest Het'etmulok
Deep in the uncharted forest stands a mighty tree which many forest-dwellers worship as a god. The chief of these worshippers is Het'etmulok, a centaur of such advanced age that even many of the immortal fey can't remember how long he's been high priest. It feels like it's been forever. Het'etmulok carries a staff topped with the sacred flower which blossoms only on the branches of the god tree. He speaks only rarely, in part because his words carry great weight, and in part because the dialect he speaks is so old that no one can understand him anymore.

Lord Typhœus, Genie King of the Cloudlands
"The Lord of the Skies breaks his wind upon you! Why are you laughing? ...It means WHAT in your culture?!"

The Cloudlands are home to many genies and other wonderous spirits, and the ruler of them all is the mighty Lord Typhœus. All creatures of the sky respect his chiseled abs, spectacular beard, and mastery of the four winds, for when he sucks, the oceans tremble, and when he blows, the mountains shake. Look, that means something different to his people, okay?
Image

Sserzal Shek'h'ssi, Sshackler of Sstars
"The light of your thun thall altho therve therpentine thothiety!"

Sun gods, everyone loves them, right? Can't develop a burgeoning society without worshipping a sun god a some point. The cold-blooded serpent lords of Ssamphara take it to another level, though. They don't just have one sun god they worship, they go around kidnapping other cultures' sun gods and using their light and heat to power a mighty serpentine civilization. Sserzal is one of the greatest of these "star shacklers", legendary sorcerers who capture and enslave sun gods. He is terrifying to behold, and his magic unimaginably powerful--and yet, it's hard not to laugh at his pronounced lisp when he speaks.

Sukka:
Style- 8 (that is one creative minifig)
Story- 9 (good storytelling)
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential- 7 (fun little fig part of some elvish/forest faction?)

Leaplily:
Style- 7 (apart from the froghead it is a little standard)
Story- 9 (the story is great though..)
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential- 8 (amphibians rise up!)

Mykoan:
Style- 7 (very cool but a bit standard (pun intended) for a figbarf)
Story- 7 (curious about Osilith's Vigil)
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential-9 (would love to see more of this faction)

High Priest Het:
Style- 7 (A little unbalanced because of the staff)
Story- 8 (Nice background story)
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential- 7 (forest dwelling faction could be a lot of fun)

Lord Typhoeus:
Style- 9 (This just resonates with me and makes me smile)
Story- 8 (such innuendo ;))
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential- (what will the other genies look like?)

Sserzal:
Style- 6 (a little generic but then with a snake head)
Story- 6 (the story is a little bit too constructed)
Presentation- 4 (clear picture)
Thematic Potential- 6 (Gods are always tricky to use in a theme)
