I saw this yesterday, but I had to go out. It sounds so familar but I couldn't quite place it. (Spent part of my day trying to figure it out.)NatalyaAF wrote:You've got to think like an alien... In three dimensions!!
Is it from Ender Game? I haven't read that book yet. But I know I heard that quote from somewhere.....Rayhawk wrote:What's with all the Ender references lately?

My revised BMP-89
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=367676
I dropped the flamethrower & gatling guns for a coaxial .50 cal machine gun and smoke launchers. And re-did the plating on top.

I also re-did the internals. I compacted the engine up front and made room for a gunner. So, it's new capacity is 8, 1 driver, 1 gunner, and 6 man squad.

The Gunner is on the right, while the driver is on the left behind the engine. Yeah, the engine is a bit packed in there, but she's small in comparison to the MBT and what I'm building next.Ross_Varn wrote:Very good. But where does the gunner sit? There doesn't seem to be enough space for an engine.

Arrrghhh.... that's right, when he showed how to decipher the msg to Jodie Foster's character in Contact. I should be ashamed of myself, I saw that movie like 6 times(damn movie channels keeps playing the same movies all month).
My favorite line of his was "First rule in government spending: why build one when you can have two at twice the price?"

"some people are like slinkies there really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs"
"Triangalism! What's the fuckin' point!"

How's that compression ratio?
