Actually, there are projectile weapons in the Star Wars universe. Luke's rifle on Tatooine, for example. I believe they work much the same as real guns, and are considered primitive but used in backwater worlds like Tatooine.

Oh, and I hate the Clone Wars cartoons. Both of them.

Projectile weapons are called "slugthrowers". They are used when blasters are not a good option, and they are cheaper.

The old clone wars one was cool because it had an entire episode about the arc troopers. That's what the whole series should have been about.

Having taken a look at the current CGI one, I can't say that I entirely hate it like I thought I would. I mean I wouldn't say it's GOOD, but you know.

I also like seeing the paint brush strokes on the 3D models.

( I stopped myself from saying "Meesa like both", mostly because JarJar is still just as annoying )

Machine gun: For some reason I seem to remember there being some sort of machine gun in Republic Commando, but it's probably just me. I'm planning on giving him a chaingun, anyway.
