Some advice needed
What would be the best way to get a white hood? I can't find any on BrickLink, and I don't know of any sets that have them. I have some modeling paint and brown hoods that I don't mind converting, but since I have to paint the inside a bit too, I'm worried the minifig's head won't be able to fit in the hood due to excess paint.

Unless you're using house paint, you should be fine.Doopliss wrote:I'm worried the minifig's head won't be able to fit in the hood due to excess paint.

You'd think so, but it happened a little bit with some minifig heads/hands I repainted as zombies. They were a lot more difficult to force on the neck/arms, and one of the hands couldn't fit all the way. Then again, I'm a very crappy painter. I'm mostly worried about the gap on the top-inside of the hood that connects it to the head.

hand-holes are also MUCH snugger fits than head-holes.Doopliss wrote:You'd think so, but it happened a little bit with some minifig heads/hands I repainted as zombies. Make sure you paint it at least twice, otherwise your paint will peel off like old wallpaper.
Actually, I suggest painting the entire thing, inside, outside and all once, then putting a second layer on just the outside. That way it should still fit a minifig but at the same time remain white for more than a couple days.
