New Light Walker Tank.

Post by Gunney » Tue Mar 17, 2009 1:17 pm

Well, after some thinking, and some studying on other vehicles, I came to a conclusion.

Mine...sucked...

So, I scrapped them all with the excption of the Heavy Tank Hunter and my Mech, whichtechnically is a slightly modified Megabloks creation.
Anyways, heres the debut of my new Light Tank. I know, it has bionicle legs, but I wanted to get ri of my weird penis Plane that was given to me, and the bionicles, so I decided I would. Its mostly scrap parts that I someow decided put togethor into a decent vehicle.

As you can tell, its Armament is 2 Rapid Fire Pulse Guns with a Light Canon. It has its power cell in the back, which can be removed at east, and a ceramic shield infront, to help protect from heavier firepower from which its glass shield would not stop. It would be EXTREMELY suspectible to bombers and fighters, so its main purpose is Mountain/Urban Combat.

Any comments are welcome, its what helped me make this one :P

Cue "not a tank".

But it's cool anyway.

That's not a tank. Still, not bad.

I really like your use of the brown foot piece on the front, I bet that could be used as a battering ram.

I'm also jealous of everyone else's vehicles. My only mecha can't hold a candle to any of these.

Awesome mecha, by the way. :D

lol, Sorry, but to me, anything thats armored, and has a cannon, is a tank to me.
Sorry if thats not politically correct to all you Whities, Blackies, Tannies, Greenies, Between'ies, and so on.

That, and I like the sound of tank. When I was a wee little boy.....Tanks made me happy.
Mostly because all the games I play tanks are hard to kill.
But still, Tanks made me happy.
So its a walker tank. *Cough Mecha*

A tank is generally something with treads, a fully-enclosed and armored cockpit/crew area, and a turret that rotates the main gun 360 degrees.

So yeah, this would be a walker Assault Gun, since the turret doesn't rotate. The cockpit also isn't entirely armored (glass is a killer for tanks).

Well, ouch, making it seem like I don't know my military.
The first "tank," The Mark 1, was the exact opposite of most all of that.
Had no main turret, wasn't fully armored (some even had glass panes on top to help the fumes vent.)
And ontop of that it wasn't used as a Tank, was used more or less to bust through trenches.

So was it the French Tank, that came after it, with its fully enclosed armor and 360 turning turret, or was the original Mark 1 just an Assault Platform.

Man aint history fun?

Technically, yeah. It was more of a proto-tank more than anything.

Regardless, a rose by any other name smells just as sweet, and a tank by any other name kills you just as dead. That's the real important thing to remember.
