Assyrian Juno Class Star Fighter

This is the Assyrian Juno Class Star Fighter. It is a little too big to be called a light star fighter, but it seems small for the average ones. However, it is heavily armed, so it will fall into the normal category. The Juno is slightly smaller than a Czech MiG II in all dimensions, yet it beats a MiG II in all respects except for weight and cost. A Juno is stronger, more heavily armed, faster, and more maneuverable than a MiG II.

From the front you can already see that it has plenty of weapons stored under the wings.

Image

But before we get to that, have a look at the engines. Because the Juno has two side engines it is able to take tighter turns. The main engine, a KYAGB 3200SS, provides enormous thrust, so along with the other two engines, the ship can move an amazing 3' per turn.

And now for the weapons... The Juno has space for six missiles. This one is armed with 4 MK II concussion missiles under the wings which are typically used for ship-to-ship combat along with two MK III PL71 torpedoes mounted on either side of the cockpit. Also under the wings are two laser cannons and up front again on the sides of the cockpit are a couple rapid-fire laser carbines. This fighter packs a serious punch.

Image

Although the Juno is superior to a MiG II, it couldn't take on three of them by itself. However, one on one there is no contest. The MiG II is a fine piece of Czech engineering, but the Assyrians remind us with the Juno that they have more resources and better technology.

Awesome ship, Natalya.
It's sleek, somewhat compact, and packs quite a punch

This is one of the very few awesome-looking compact starfighters I have come across. Incredible work.

That is very sleek and well armed, but the colors are a little bland. It would probably fit in better with your assyrians if it had some dark red details.

I tried putting dark red stripes on the sides of the fuselage but it didn't look good. :( I don't have enough dark red pieces though.

I like it, it's small but slick & well armed at the same time. It looks like a tough nut to crack. But...... you still need to make more of them......

that seems to be one of the biggest problems mass production of a fighter

Before LDD's price rise, it was kinda possible to build fighters that costed less than 10 dollars. Don't know how much in Euros, but it was almost the same, maybe a bit less.
