color was the least insulting aspect of it that i disliked. so now ill say this... the legs really look like a skinny d a p p e r nerd from my school, not a huge armoured cyborg. should be thicker and shorter.

Those are the old ones I built years ago. Look at the date on the photos... I posted them here just to help J+B with the joint construction.

So like last time I posted y'all saw the feet completed. Well, since then I've raced from the bottom up to meet the core module. Tons of progress the last couple days. Legs are 100% and I did a lot on the mid-section.

This is the hips and waist. It partially goes inside the core of the AC and provides most upper-body movement.

Yes that's right. The legs are 100%. With all structural support pieces complete the AC is ready for assembly.

And here you have it. The Assyrian Armoured Core is ready for business. It is not complete yet and is missing many components, but like the incomplete 2nd Death Star this thing is fully operational. The Karasawa needs to be re-designed but for now it works.

Nothing can stop an AC.

That's all for now.

wtf
i didnt think it was phsically possible to make legos this big. what are you gonna do next? make another 22 foot long boat?

right now, you could make a 20 foot wide scale model of the moon and it wouldnt surprise me.

Great job, it's biggger than I though it would be. I can't believe you're almost done already.... The legs look kind of long but when you get the rest of the armor for the core it should balance out. Dang those turntables are expensive, and you can only buy them in enough quantity overseas...

I ordered all 7 of them from Germany. Took a week and a half to get here. Just under $35 for them alone. What are you planning on using them for? Are you going to build one of these?

I downloaded the plans for it, it's pretty clever how he setup the joints. I'm really surprised that it's less than 4000 pieces to build. I'm still debating about committing to building it, I did build the elbow joints & a hand.

I have a lot of pieces right now that I still have to sort, so I have to do some inventory also. But, I did order the turntables just in case. :D

Also, if I do build it, I think I want to personalize the head and armor, so I got to think about that too....

Damn.... that does looks great though......

I just had a revelation: Despite its awesomeness, like any gaint super weapon, it shares an inherent flaw. How in the world are you going to field this? This thing would probably be worht 1,000 minifigs, or 500 tanks. I'unno about you, but the combined firepower of that much armor, joints are going to get hit, legs are going to break, and face plates are going to have the holes of death.

That...and if a minfig climbs onboard, that'll be funny as hell to see.

You know, this thing wouldn't be all that expensive in brikwars cost terms. I mean still, I'd guess that it's around a few hundred CP (Natalya, how big is this thing in inches?), but even then, 100 minifigs (unarmed) would cost more than that.

I will say though, I quite enjoy the scale that this bad boy has compared to the rest of your stuff. It doesn't look out of place with that force, and it doesn't look too small OR retardedly huge. Well done!
