Actually, yes. Something Awful is absolutely brutal to people for every mistake they make. Moderator challenges, Goon Rushes, and threadshitting are all commonplace. If you make a mistake, you are banned. Oh, and you have to pay ten bucks to be able to post, which can be revoked for basically any reason a mod feels like. The posters that remain are all quality, top-notch posters, devoid of spelling mistakes and not being funny.

Of course, they take things a lot more strictly than they should, but the theory is solid. Instead of tons of shitty posters, there's fewer but better posters.

I will make a new battle sometime soon. It will be small though, but will introduce some more factions that y'all have not seen yet. Since it's going to be small I hope I won't get burned out from it like I did with Jungle Rampage.

I think it's doing fine. The detail you're not taking into account is that all revenue from this site is measured in the currency of How Much It Entertains Me Personally Dollars. Some kinds of posts are worth a whole lot more EMP$ than others.

That being said, I do end up deleting a lot of parasite posts and banning a lot of parasites. Some I think are funny, and some get deleted. It's completely subjective.
