Well this is one of my current LDD projects making a grand space ship that can be taken apart and reconstructed using some common pieces in order to form different ships whether military civilian or cargo. here some pics of 2 civilian sleeping quarter sections with attached bathroom/refresher and ladder up/down, each passenger section holds 2 rooms per lever for a total of eight and each common passageway section contains 2 bathrooms.
the large comm arrays can rotate and swivel
current price :628.26
amount of briks approx: 1200 pieces

do you have a master blueprint?

basically im building as i go along the only design considerations are for the different sections. large section is male any small female
(connectors). engineering section wich will contain the bridge will have side and verticle risers for attachment of extra engines . bassicly i need to build:
Civilian nose cone
Civilian cargo bay
main engineering section
military heavy gun deck
military anti fighter deck
military heavy missile deck
military light missile deck
barracks deck
planetary assault section with extra large lower deck for tanks etc.
fighter bay
dining section
mess section.
and more as i come up with them.

cool, I wish there was a way to see some interior shots, but for now I might as well just say that the sensor arrays are cool. It looks like what I would picture a ship of that size and complexity to look like

Wow, this is amazing. It reminds me of the Battlestar Galactica civilian ships. Very cool.

Modular spaceship models...what a great idea. And you made it even better. Well done.

The way this is going the complete thing will probably cost thousands of dollars. Thousands of dollars worth of awesomeness.

Do you dare doubt the possibility?!

Why do you make everything out of ldd damn it! it helps the builder to feel the brick within his hand to make,to destroy, and to lose this is the life he leads as soon as he opens his first set.To take a brick into thy hand is to live but nay...

Because i use LDD because i don't necessarily have the same selection of Briks. If i did you would see it in a standard picture. Look at my urban pacification vehicle, i made it first in LDD then i went and actually built it. Also right now im building a a system monitor. A heavily armed starship that while not necessarily fast, it will be heavily armed with a spine mounted Grav launcher able to launch many different types of ordinance, two dorsal class VII twin turrets and four dual Type 3 anti starfighter cannons. its about 3.25 standarde baseplates long and so far is double decked.

Big slow ship with huge cannons think WWII battleship and the spine launcher think of a rail gun that can launch squads of legomen at a target if no ordinance is left.
Dorsal is the top side of a ship
Spine means that the cannon /lancher is so large thats it incorperated into the actual chassis centrally located usually forward facing to take advantage of the engines to help stabilize
the use of such a powerful weapon.
