Vehicles that turn into giant robots

Post by Elmagnifico » Wed Jun 17, 2009 5:45 pm

Has anyone here ever built one of these that:

A) is minifigure scale
B) shapeshifts without anybody needing to pull bits off and stick them back on*
C) actually looks cool
D) rained major pwnage on some poor sap in a Brikwar

*The exception being weapons, ie pulling the robot's sword off it's vehicle mode and putting it in it's hand.

I made a few really primitive ones back in the day - single or two points of articulation (pretty much the same levels of articulation as the Transformers of the day). A little google-fu revealed Lego Optimus Prime. Brikshelf also has a nice Optimus.
CONGRATULATIONS - you just WON The Game FOREVER. Or you can carry on being a humourless nugget - your call.

I actually made a lego car that transforms.

I later Dismantled it to make a lego T-rex, both of which are on my mocpages. The one on the site is still Version 1.0

The Tyranno, has basically won battles, his head and tail ripping through enemies and his flame breath killing massed amounts of troops. Sadly, during my last battle, a lucky Grey Knight hero climbed up his arm, and in one last act of heroism, knocked off his robotic head. This won the day, for the dreadnought he was munching on destroyed his last remaining ally. The forces of Stormtroopers, Space Knights, Tiny Tank and a Dreadnought won another battle. Big hammers ftw.
