I wish that lego made a Lord Of The Rings Line. There would be so many possibilities for different sets and the pieces and minifigs would be amazing.
Just a dream.

Because everyone wants Lego to **** around with LoTR as much as GW did.
Err, right... LoTR isn't the big craze it used to be, so we're all stuck just making our own minifigs.

We came really close! But the license for Harry Potter came up at the same time, and it was a better match for Lego's target market demographics. It was just bad timing.
There was another company that got the LOTR construction-toy license, but they were terrible (of course).

I would rather have a lego balrog over a lego Basilisk anyday.
Anyway, what company got the LoTR license, and what were the LoTR smoking when they gave it to them?

It's so horrible! Those aren't minifigs, they're actual models with brick bases!

Normally, I just can't side with the bri-nylon Brigade of J+B and Co but in this I would make an exception. Even though he hasn't said so yet, I'm sure he would be up for burning this rectal sputum dross.

LEGO Grand Theft Auto line would be sweet.

lotr wouldn't work well for lego because almost everything is big in the movies, so lego would only be able to produce army builder type sets, and maybe a few buildings of minor importance.
and gta would never become lego sets because parents view it as inapropriate and violent.

LOTR might be hard to do, but the Hobbit movie is still coming up. I wonder if that one might be a little more attractive to the Lego marketing execs.
