i wonder what would happen if lego restarted putting out old kits, that were much beloved, at a lower price if general production or adjusted price for todays market, allowing for a slight change in parts due to production runs. especially the classic space and pirate sets, which in my opinion are much better and havnt aged near as badly as some sets

LEGO should release old sets with updated parts and the new bleys.

I completely agree, why is it that the old pirate line had 4 large ships in it and the new one has only one ship at all?
I hope the new pirates get popular so LEGO will have a reason to reinstate pirates to its former glory

I only have the spanish ship, but at the time I didnt understand the awesomeness.

i have 2 ships. but i got them at a yard sale and about 1/3 of the pieces are missing. (i just rainbowed it to compensate!)

plus i got at least 4 cannons.

I think I am going to see if I can get the skullseye's schooner via bricklink, somewhere in the far future.
gonna replace the crew and sails though, Id rather have an imperial ship. (or from my own faction)
