Space marines are hard to kill, though my opponent has learned to respect Necrons at range and in melee. (though Necrons cost a bunch a model...) unfortunately I've only played against space marines and imperial guard, so my experience is limited...

in my experience, necrons are ok, but we'll be back cripples them against good anti-armor armies. space marines have become a bit of a 40k cliche, what with practically everyone playing them, but they are a bit overrated.
me, i play squats.

Fear no longer your lonesome vigil of your army's, primarily i play tau, but i have IG Space wolves and necrons. mostly i like to play apocalypse battles, hence the tau. but as for tactics i like to mix it up by troop spam with heavy vehicle and stealthsuit support, usually my only crisis suites are my commander and his bodyguard. but its great that you went for dark eldar thier just about as rare as a true sisters of battle army.

There needs to be more 40k-inspired LEGO mocs or Brikwars battles.

i want to start on warhammer 40k.
but i don't know hwat army to go i think ill go space marines since my local shop mainly stocks them but im not sure, i want a small but strong army like my brikwars one. i think ill get the space marines and some orange hobby paint and see what they look like in orange
(i like orange do you have a problem with me likeing orange)
EDIT: i think im going to get tau since i like mechs and stuff even though they use some savage things i can probelly design the army to not have them.

I had an idea for a Tyranid army consisting of one Hive Tyrant and 60 Genestealers, all painted in dark purple with white teeth. Inspired by the Alien movies.

What about them? That they look cool, are good against infantry, or that they just get owned by carnifex?

i think he's going for the lowest word count in the forum. in all his posts so far, they've been 2 words or less.

nothing's wrong with one word answers, it just looks bad, doesn't make you look good, and might be considered postwhoring.
if you can, post only when you have something valid to add to the discussion.

BUMP.
I have noticed alot of 40k references recently, but nothing about 40k itself much.

Not always. Those new PlanetStrike Bastions are only $30!!
As long as you stick as much to plastic as possible, it is pretty good. And get Assault on Black Reach. Better yet, split it with a friend! I got 10 marines, 5 terminators, a captain and Dreadnought for $30! As opposed to the $140 (about) that that would cost, that is one heck of a deal. The three Ork deffcoptas seperate cost more than Black Reach!
