EDIT: and are very good in CC.

Graviton Guns? Conversion Beamers? I started playing in 4th edition, so I am lost.

graviton guns freeze opponents and damage vehicles, conversion beamers do more damage the more armor the target has. look it up.

I'd like to play, but I've already got enough crap to do with myself right now.

But if I did, I'd play Orks, straight up. Every other 40k race takes itself way too seriously.

Nids? No. They are as unseriouss as possible. They will walk into your ordanance. Why? Ammo, my friends.

That's exactly why I don't like 'nids. It's the generic "HURR WE'rE A SPaCE SWARM OF EVIL ORGANIC CRAP" race, and tries way too hard to be zerg.

Orks on the other hand try way too hard to be orks, which is totally acceptable. They're mean, they're green, and their backstory is easily the funniest.

orks are good for hobby armys, you can build them a trukk out of nearly any junk.

yeah, that's the plan. I'm also going to try to make them warbuggies out of war bikes... I don't know how that will work out though...

Buggy? Strap two bikes together, and make the orks look less wild somehow. Then put some plates on the back, and strap another plate so it forms a right angle. Then put a spare boy with a big shoota on the back. Other than that you could just slap a couple of plates on in random places. Wouldn't be a hard conversion.

Orks are awesome for a lot of their silly rules, like how their vehicles go faster if they have red painted on them. There's also "Don't Touch That Button!". I forget which vehicles it applies to but basically, the vehicle moves forward d6 inches at the end of your turn, and crushes every unit in the way, including your own.

Also, my friend spent $110 on one of these, and in a four person game, we killed it by the second or third turn.
