Organization of briks

Post by PsyberianHusky » Tue Jul 07, 2009 9:45 am

I am currently trying to sort my briks so I can have the pieces I need, when I need them. However organization is not exactly my forte so I want to know what you guys do to create an ideal workshop for brik based death machines.

I'm in the process of organizing, too. I have a big seven-drawer tower with four small and three large drawers. One for technic pieces, one for plates and tiles, one for "specialty pieces", one for minifig-related pieces and transparent pieces, one for 1x(whatever) bricks and one for 2x(whatever) bricks. I haven't decided what to do with the last drawer...probably old creations to be cannibalized.

I stack all the bricks that are the same together, then I just need to find the right stack, and the stacks are in boxes of other stacks like them, I.E. bricks, plates, slants, technik, clips. things which I only have one of or are not stackable are organised in one of the slide-drawer things generally used to organise nails, nuts and bolts.

..I just have room for four buckets underneath my desk. I organized two buckets to solid standard pieces, one bucket to flat and sloped piece, and then one bucket to specialty/minifig/POOP/Studless pieces.

Plates, Bricks, Accessories, BURPs and Slopes in different buckets. And random bits all over the floor.

..I have niether the time, nor the money, to dedicate THAT MUCH RESOURCE into something that I won't be able to really get to do in the Navy.
