Steel, is futurish.
Dark gray is wrought iron and steam punk friendly.
He has a plenty healthy dose of dark grey and brown, so color wise it looks plenty steam punk.

And random dark red vents. I'm not sure why I did that, but there it is.
Also, going along with the Steampunk BrikSpace fleet somebody mentioned, I've begun work on some Steampunk Frigates. I need more bits, so they won't be done for a while, but just as a heads up; they're coming.
Nobody minds gold, do they? I figure if these are steampunk spaceships, they'd have to be extravagant, very Neo-Victorian royalty ships. So, they've got this big golden front, with giant steampunk-y gears and clockworks coming out the back and forming the remainder of the ship.
Or at least... that's the effect I'm going to go for.
