BrickArms Chrome Accessories

Post by the enigma that is badger » Sun Jul 12, 2009 11:13 am

You guys were asking about news from BrickArms, so here's something nifty: now available from Toywiz, Chrome BrickArms accessories!

All these accessories where given their chrome finish via electroplating, the highest-quality process of chroming available. The result is a smooth, thin layer of chrome that's tightly bonded to the accessory. This is an expensive process and the cost of these items reflect that, but the quality of the chroming is absolutely incredible.

Available in packs:

Also available as single weapons. My personal favorites are the chrome bladed accessories:

Stock is very limited, so if you'd really like to add these to your collection, I'd recommend ordering sooner rather than later!

If I'm gonna buy it, it's from MinifigForLife. BrickArms.com's prices are absurdly high. Especially the shipping.

I hope they have it too.

If you're referring to the accessories themselves, pricing of BrickArms and Minifigforlife is the same, with slight differences depending on the exchange rate of various currencies.

As for shipping, Will found he had to start making use of a more reliable method of international shipping after several customers reported extreme delays in the arrival of their orders and some orders lost completely. With the new, faster method Will uses, a tracking number is also provided, ensuring orders arrive promptly to waiting fans of BrickArms. You can ready more about the issue here.

All of this is vaguely moot as the only vendor that currently offers the chrome weapons is Toywiz, who also uses a higher priced but extremely reliable method of international shipping.

It remains to be seen if chrome accessories will be added to the BrickArms website and other BrickArms resellers. Producing electroplated chrome items is VERY expensive, but if there should be market for them at the price point they need to be placed, it's certainly a possibility!

Epic want. I will buy.

Wow. It's amazing the zombifying power BrickArms has over my brain. I think I'll buy the Steampunk pack, as long as I'm there...

Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

I do own several fine hats, but I'm more a fan of fine literature.

With all the great plans Will has for the future of BrickArms, probably not!
