HvZ

Am attending a college that does this in the fall. Need ideas for weapons.

-No no melee' weaponos (it's gotta not be touching you when it hits the Zombie, or it counts as a tag)

-Budget of $40.

It's a live action game played with nerf-type weapons, you twit.

A lot of people at my school used marshmallows (probably because they didn't want to look "uncool" wielding a Nerf gun). We had rules that we could only use marshmallows, socks, and Nerf-type guns.

I used to make bows when I was a kid and I think I still could. I'm a fair shot so I would give this a go and keep the $40 for other stuff. It's got fair range and penetration and with practice could ruin even a zombies day. What's more you can make as many arrows as you can carry. Fire Arrows too. Also silent.

The last bow I made was made out of kebab skewers and string. I was teaching my son. Anyway, it managed to send a kebab skewer arrow into the wall (plasterboard) and a wooden chair. I was made to promise to give up making and firing weapons in the house... and showing my son the deadly arts of things that could kill. *sigh*

Airsoft guns would probably be your best bet, but they would be pretty suspicious looking thus, you'd probably get them confiscated. As far as nerf goes, most of the new ones are cool looking, but have crap ranges. Try to find an older one at a garage sale, or Ebay if you're desparate. If you can't get your hands on an old nerf gun, I'd recommend the longshot.

even if airsoft guns didnt look suspicious, he has a budget of 40 dollars. it would get you something, like a cheapy AR, or shotgun, but again, probably get takin away from you. as for nerf, id recommend a longshot, cause they go far and fast, but you just got to know how to use it, cause I've got one, and it jams all the time when im trying to cock the lever really fast.
Holy shit, I'm still here?

While I am unfamiliar with this game I suggest that you make PVC pipe marshmallow guns. they're super cheap because PVC pipe is like $2 per 10' .

Um, I'm now getting that the objective is not to rack up an actual kill but to simulate one. Therefore my bow idea blows.

Airsoft is also highly illegal for HvZ. You're carrying around a weapon to your classes and dining halls. You're way, way more likely to cause a scene if you pull a realistic-looking desert eagle on someone.

I suggest the Nerf Maverick as well as the Nerf Recon, which will run you just over 20bux total. You can spend the rest on ammo, and I recommend getting a second magazine for your recon.

HvZ is a game played on college campuses every day for a week or so. Every waking minute you have to watch for people with headbands or other markers showing they are zombies. It's just a giant game of tag, but the people who are not it have Nerf guns.

Cool, no really, I would probably get a kick out of that kind of silliness. As far as I know we have nothing like that here, stupid Britain.

I meant shotguns that shoot rubber bullets.

shotgun?
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/126465
it shoots lego.

but if you want one that shoots rubber(band) bullets, just search some more.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

The hardest thing you can throw/shoot is a Nerf gun or a marshmallow.
