my marines & guard

Post by Ranger S2H » Mon Aug 10, 2009 3:55 am

I've posted some pics on my hyves page of my 40k space marines and my imperial guard.

http://s2h.hyves.nl/album/42995207/fig_pics/zh7H5ma7/

most of the figs still need some work, mostly basing.
there are some figs missing, like my IG heavweap teams, my whirlwind,
and my leman russ (did you actually think Id play guard without one?)

I've been wanting to get into 40k miniatures for a while. I'm just wondering what kind of paints do you use?

If you want a glossy coat, use model paints like tamiya paints, and so on. For a flat coat, use GW paints. With decent pot size,fast-drying paints, and lots of pigment it's great paint, but at almost 5 dollars a pot,it's pricey.

Yeah i paint ww2 miniatures and a bought a few tamiya paints only because i didn't feel like looking 5 feet to my left to buy some model master which is the same price but two times bigger

Damnit! They aren't Ultras, so I have not reason to complain. Nice Paint scheme on those Marines.

thanks, Im going to model all marines with helmets (what mental disease makes proffessional bio-engineered super-human ubersoldiers fight without helmets anyway?)
the only problem is I think its hard to make out the sergeants/squad leaders. Im playing a mercenairy/non-imperial force, so drowning them in purity seals and imperial bling is out of the question.

any suggestions?
