J+B has no similar interests with people here, it's just where he comes to take a dump. Hating him might not make sense to you and admittedly might not be the best way on the Net (I've still to decide), but it is my way. Now if your quite finished acting all superior why don't you go bury your head back in the sand.

thats it!I'm perfectly calm and rational... You're just too laid back and sluggish. You need to get some aggression about you. Things matter when they matter to you. Don't let anyone tell you they don't, ever.

Ships log supplemental: Week... 204. Builders Yard Update - the Struggle continues. I swear, I should have named this ship the Albatross.
Look folks, I know some or maybe all of you will be sick of this project, even more than I am and I want you to know that in difference to those feelings and after about 0.0001 seconds deliberation as to wither I should post this, that I've decided in true Brikwars fashion that I just don't care.
I've been having a lot of problems with the mid-deck of this ship while using my conventional and boneriffic techniques and nothing I tried ended up looking right. But after an hiatus I returned to this project and today I think I may have cracked it. See what you think. It's very much in the early stages AND YES I could use the new fangled SNOT and pegs and rods and stuff but it's too new a concept and I'm too old and grumpy to learn new tricks. So I'll just do the best I can the way I know how. So here goes...

The view from the bow. Just to give you a taste of how this will look when completed.

This is the bit I was talking about. I'll need to see how it all looks when the windows are all hemmed in. It may make the wing look odd, sticking out from the bottom of a sheer wall.

Two more powerful engines added. They aren't secured yet. In fact there is a lot in this picture that is just to give an idea of where things go so it looks uneven and cross-eyed just now. I'm sure you get the idea.

Holy cow, there's a lot of pointy bits on there.
The thing I'm noticing is that it looks really busy. My eye (haha) keeps moving around the picture, but I can't really just stay in one place and look at it, ya know? Maybe it's that the decks aren't finished.
It's got a nice shape to it, though, and the weapons are really nice. I would suggest taking off those wings, though. Your ship it really bulky and thick, and those are just so small and fragile looking.

Thanks. I know what you mean about being busy, it should be better when completed and with pictures from further away. You may be right about the wings but I have two Magog fighters that nicely attach and tuck under them and should bulk out the gap that's below them. Two fighters are too good to pass up for aesthetics.

I gotta say, I actually like the window style - as well as the technique you used to place them, I used to try the very same trick back in my (pre-ldd) raindbow days, but i could never quite get it to work - how the devil did you manage to get the size/stud issue down?

Thanks guys.
@Scythe: I kind of just built it into the wall in that I built it 3 studs thick so there was a gap around the off diagonal stud. I then used a round 1x1 to fill in the gap on the outside. Does that make sense or do I need to take pics? I'm not used to talking in Lego. I usually just throw something at Mini-Warhead and grunt "bring lots of these, in .... colour only."
@Ross: I agree, the Bow does need to be changed.

Pics may be usefull, I'm just trying to wrap my head around how you got it to work on a "Diagonal" so to speak - Usually the plate (of other piece) you use in the diagonal edge usually does not match up length or studwise to the gap your trying to "fill"Warhead wrote:@Scythe: I kind of just built it into the wall in that I built it 3 studs thick so there was a gap around the off diagonal stud. Feh, I'm not to good at talking lego either, but I love the windows - I just wanna see how you pulled it off.
