Boarding party? Ha!
The First in Battle-glory's crew is supplemented by a squad or more of Heavy troopers at almost all times. And these guys Crash boarding parties, then make out with all the cute girls, spike the punch and scorch obscene jokes into the lawn.

I think Thunderchild would give you some trouble in a broadside and I'd love to see who came out the winner in a Ram and Boarding action. This is an awesome creation and I love the look. Good Job!

@Warhead:

Looks can be deceiving. Because it's wide and tall it doesn't look as long and big as it actually is. This ship is easily the biggest and most powerful on the forums, though it seems to be lacking in gun turrets. However the missiles it has more than make up for that. My destroyer could punch a couple holes in the side of this monster, but it probably wouldn't get much beyond that unless I somehow disabled its weapon systems. I don't think your cruiser would fare much better even though it's bigger.

:shock:
OMG

I don't think my combined forces, including titans could even dent that thing!

Unless I could use the stingray to board shadow in the thing.
Then he could fight off the guards, summon doomsday and the rest, and take it out from the inside *evil laugh* :twisted:

definantly one of the coolest ships ever.

thade deems this worthy of thades empire.

@Natalya

Oh please, I'm not saying mines better. I'm merely saying it would be quite an enjoyable fight. But I agree that scale can be very deceptive in a picture. This thing is awesome and very original.

Maybe if we both teamed up we could take on this behemoth.

I think those four Anti Ship missiles would be a bitch as they no doubt have a vastly superior range to my main beam weapons. However, I'm comfortable my Point Defence teams would account for some of the missiles and I've already planned on adding EDM's. (Enhanced Drive Missiles - They create a copy drive signature that confuses the missiles limited targeting capacity and draws them away from the real target. They would look not unlike those Anti-Ship Missiles but only last a turn before burnout. The other draw back is the amount of room taken up on external ordinance racks, and that they are exposed to enemy fire while on those racks).

In a broadside I think pound for pound I would be happy to face off against this monsters turrets. Just so long as I could stay out of the way of those two massive main cannons at the front. The Thunderchild has a few RAM generators at the front which can be used to provide better forward shielding, at least for a time so it might manage to survive a short time in a head on engagement. Until those generators burn out anyway. After that things would start to go badly.

It really doesn't look as big as it is in the pictures, but the inside floorspace roughly equals four and a half standard baseplates.
As for turrets, there are two more which are on the bottom of the ship, but I can't attach them unless I put her on a stool or something. Also, the turret on top of the command tower is a flak turret for taking out fighters, swarmers or missiles.

The First in battle-Glory is a multipurpose battlecruiser, with the ability to fill many roles, such as ending sieges, besieging things, SHIP to SHIP combat, raiding, carrying freight and rocking people's faces off. To name a few.

Yeah, but you have the commandoes, with OTCs.
