The simplest rules for table-top war gameing are:
1: decide who is heads and who is tails
2: flip a coin
3: if it lands on heads then the player who choose heads wins, if it landed on tails then the player who choose tails wins.
4: the winner gets to hit the loser over the head with a spiked hammer.
5: if the loser failed to die then go back to step 1.

russain rulette with automatic pistols is always fun, it's best that they don't know it's automatic though.

We should all make our own micro-scale ship, and then play an online RPG! It would probably need it's own thread, since all leveling up, and missions would be played online. And Rayhawk, or another volunteer could be the Game Master. Someone should make this happen.

I've got my combat system mostly finnished and just need campaigning. I can now show some of the mechanics from the 0.2 version.

There are 4 'proffesions' Head-hunter, Pirate, Smuggler and Commander. Your current proffesion will change the way the universe reacts to you (NPC pirates will run from Commanders). Proffesions can be started in different ways and dropped at more or less any time.Credits and points are earned from quests and Roleplay (pillaging ships, monitoring smuggling traffic etc).

This is just a bit of game mechanics. V0.3 Will be the version that comes out of play testing and V1.0 will be up january.

@Arkbrik: When I said someone should make this happen, I meant making a whole thread devoted to it.

@stubby: Do'oh!!!

@dilanski: Are there any specific traits for the professions?
