I was hoping they'd shoot at least the first guy that strolled down the stairs with their reactions before he could do anything, but oh well. 
The cannons open fire on the islander attacking from behind. The gunners then abandon the ship and run outside to grab the nearest weapon they can find, moving towards the bastion. If they fail the musketeer shoots him. If the cannons get him the musketeer sticks his gun in through the doorway and shoots the soldier on the stairs. Rodrigo leaps from the Bloodstained Serpent and arms himself with two handweapons. His Heroic Feat goes to singing a nasty pirate song about his enemy's moms or something along those lines to force them to come out and fight him instead of his men.
