United Peach Alliance update

Post by OneEye589 » Mon Mar 15, 2010 6:24 pm

Did some more work on the UPA. Apologies for the grainy pictures ahead of time.

The basic troopers of the UPA. MKI Mimetic body armor, lazer rifles, etc.
Image

The entire infantry with the two officers flanking the hero.
Image

Pilots. What are they calling down?
Image

The Stregga V2 Light VTOL Assault Dropship!
Image

Has plenty of room for soldiers.
Image

These drop troops to be specific.
Image

Two of these carry the six troopers into battle.
Image

Weapons: Heavy Lazer Rifle, Beamsword, Lazer Rifle, Pistol, Lazer Repeater (I forgot the Rocket Launchers).
Image

Thought some of you might want the directions to the Lazer Repeater. I think it's a neat little build.

Nice, I love the dropship! Even cooler that you have the briks to make 2 of them. :) The laser repeater is a sweet gun, never would've thought to do that.Well I don't have the pistol to do it....

Can't say much about the troopers, they're really basic. But I like the red coat on the hero, sets him apart from the rest of the army.

Overall good work, but make some more vehicles! :D

Weapons = epic win. Love the repeater and the heavy lazer.

The dropship looks good, but it's kind of lightly armed; some door guns or side missile racks would look good and fit well with the theme. It's also kind of plain with just the engines sticking out of the sides. You might add some fins on the back and on the sides of the main engine cowlings.

Yea, I've been thinking about adding the side-mounted guns for the people on board and some bigger turbines on the back. Right now it has 3 MKII missiles, two MKII guns pointing forward under the nose, and a MKII gun underneath that can rotate 360*.

*blinks*

OneEye, do you have survelliance on my house? I was just building a squad like this. In fact, they were going to be part of my peach forces... Crap in a hat. I think our armies are linked.

Great work in any case.

Awesome army! You know, there aren't all to many uniformed armies around here. Most are a few custom figs thrown together. Not that that really matters, though. This is Brikwars after all!

I like them! (even though they are mutated peaches... they still seem to have evolved a good fashion sense) Good effort in making uniforms that are not instantly recognizable as stoormies or the like, nice heroes and the dropships are instant love! You even have two. That makes it a lot more army-like at once. Though you should make their cargospace two studs wider or something, 3 troopers per ship seems a little... few. But they look great. All my normal yellow figs are trembling in fear.

Thanks guys.

The ships only fit 3 of the drop troopers because I only have six of them, and they also have backpacks, which makes it a bit hard. They could fit more between the cockpit and the open sides as well. I'm guessing they could fit 8 troops with backpacks and a couple more if they didn't have back packs.

At least they aren't a bland J+B storetrooper platoon.

Omg I can't believe I missed this, I need to troll more. Great job on the UPA the dropships they are awesome. And the repeater is a great design. Makes me want to work on building my own lego guns, but I can't help not using BA weapons.... 3 guys per dorpship seems like a waste, you should load them up in one for right now & make a weapons pod to put in the other to make it an escort gunship, until you get more dropship guys.

I am ecstatic about the developments of my allied peach brethren, and soon we shall be strong enough to overthrow the yellow tyranny!

Yea, the dropships do have some Technic bricks in there, I was thinking about making a gun that can fold up into the top, then swing down and someone can fire it, maybe I'll work on that this weekend.

I'm also going to work on the main weapons of the dropships and make them more like a helicopter. I think it would work nice with the design, just have to find a good way to do it.

Thanks for the input, guys.

I must say, even as a Triangleist, they look kinda ossum.... BUT THEY MUST DIE! PEACH SCUM!
And apart from PEACH SCUM holding them, the lazor repeater looks like a P90, ver ossum. BUT NOT THE PEACHES.
