On the way home from our family vacation we stopped by a Toys'r'us, and I couldn't resist picking up some new Legos. I should have grabbed another minifig package, would have bumped up my total to get a free set (a $3.45 one, but still), and I might have gotten one of the ones I actually wanted. Oh well. All legos are cool Legos. On to pics (crappy cell phone pics, the GF has my good digicam).

What started as this:

Quickly became this:

Oh, the comedic potential of Legos. Love it. I think I'm going to get a small container and reclaim some of my old bricks from my brother to tinker with.

Anyway, carry on you lot.

I still want a musketeer. :( My last trip to the LEGO store got me two sumos... bringing my total to three... but I did get a hockey player.

The best way of touching out a musketeer is the hat. Also, get him a black cape, it makes it 3 times more awesome.

It looks like you could have made some sort of "booster draft" with those sets, having enough for a small quik/brikwar

I always thought it would be fun to set up a game with six random collectable bags and a random impulse set and everyone opens their stuff and has a few moments to organize, then play with what you have.

Yep, it was pretty much "Hey, look at that!" "That's cool!" "Oh, that one is too!" "Oooh, and so is that one!" coupled with the fact that I didn't want to spend very much, so I grabbed a few cheap (under $10) sets. Harder said than done ha. Still spent around $30 without meaning to. Oh well.

The "booster draft" idea is a pretty cool one. 6 random collectables and one $10 set would be interesting to see, especially if 3 or 4 people all did it at the same time so they could trade the bad stuff (in their eyes) for the good stuff. And relatively cheap, too.

Anyway, I've got all sort of wacky antics going on on my desk now thanks to these little guys.

i like this idea, i might have to try that.

figure it would be about $30-$35 per player that way, but it should work.

kinda disappointed it isn't more aerodynamic. when you throw it you can only reliably hit people with the handle.

Yeah, that was my gripe with it too. It's too light to throw. More or less useless for HvZ, I mean, even Gus forgot to use his in that Immersion episode.

Yesterday I bought 30 dollars worth of hats in TF2. Best purchase ever.

I got Resident Evil: Mercenaries for the 3DS yesterday. It's pretty good.

Got a set of these in the mail before I went to Chicago last week. They're quite nice. ^^ Very light, and not made of crappy wood for once.
