Unlike other armies where ships are crewed, lifeforms in the Grand Armies of Light are sentient ships.
Many of these ships birth youngling ships, which they carry around with them. They are armed with laser beams and a variety of smart missiles.
The Map Maker is one of the oldest and strongest of this race of beings. The Map Maker has seen the rise and fall of countless civilizations, has witnessed the destruction of an universe sized war, and has an age measured in universal rotations. He is also capable of destroying planets easily.
The Historian is the oldest living member, the record keeper for the Grand Armies of light, and knows everything about and learned by the Army. He is a very isolated individual and lacks social interests, and is also known for experimenting with the very fabric of space for fun.
