Jerzy Durer (Polish pronunciation: ˈjɛʐɨ ˈdurɛr) is the current Chief Librarian of the Order of Dobrzyń and possesses a vast knowledge in both, German and Polish history.
Early Life
Jerzy was born in the Opole sector, just shortly before the Fall of the Polish Kingdom. Because of these very unfortunate circumstances, his family fled to the Bavarian world of Würzburg in the hope of a better life. Being lectured in the cultures and languages of both Bavaria and Poland, he could excell with his vast historical knowledge, but still had some dificulties, fitting in the Bavarian's everyday life. While most Bavarians are followers of Brikthulu, Jerzy and his family were still loyal to the Great Creator and were forced to practice their belief in secrecy, in order to avoid persecution.
At the age of 17, Jerzy decided to escape from Bavaria, in order to avoid conscription and thus fighting for a cause, he strongly opposes. However, he regreted this decision later on, as he left behind his parents and older brother, leaving them deeply worried. Nevertheless, he could make contact with the Order of Dobrzyń and joined them as a librarian, first. His knowledge of Polish culture and history and his superb skills in the German language were more than beneficial to the Order, filling huge gaps in their libraries and earning him the title of the Chief Librarian, later on.
Recent History
During the Uprising of Warszawa, Jerzy Durer lead a warband of his brethren, aiding the local resistance and crushing the Communist invaders. During the rebuild of the city, he could provide help in restoring historical data from the planetary archives with his vast knowledge, that he benefited to the Chapter Library, earlier on. In late BR 2,014, he was involved in a Skirmish with Space Nazi forces over Planet Puczysk, where he piloted an Archanioł Lesser Titan. During the battle, his Titan was destroyed, crashing on the Planet's surface, but Durer barely survived with his legs being broken from the crash.
In BR 2,015, he was sent to Planet Puczysk, yet again. This time, he was aided by forces of the Imperial Magikstrate on his mission to protect civilians from a horde of Nazis.
