The Black Hand (Previously known as the Black Legion) is the first warband of the Damned operating in the Monolith Battleplates.Known for acts of extreme violence and evil, worship of demented Gods in a sick religion, raiding innocent settlements and engaging in acts of Terrorism by destroying L-Gates and utilizing Banned weaponry to torture and murder minifigs on the plates, Through expansion, intimidation and subjugation they had become a major power and threat to the realm. Their actions since R2018 have ultimately caused the collapse of civilization in the Monolith Realm. While other factions, some even more powerful than the Hand fight amongst themselves, the Black Hand remains as a persistent and ever present threat to all who remain.

Background

The Black Hand has been a cancer to the Monolith Realm as long as most can remember. but it's not exactly clear how a Legion of the Damned came to the plates in the first place. What isn't known to most minifigs is that the Black Legion is actually the first of the Warbands of the Damned, So it's quite difficult to determine an origin point for them if they're the first of their kind, and they've known to always have been around.

The Black Legion was the main opponent of the Old Alliance. While much smaller in number, through subterfuge, sabotage and a few incidents of straight up attacking them. They caused the Old Alliance to buckle and fracture. Essentially they paved the way for The Imperiya and Bratva to come into existence when the Old Alliance broke apart

Ethos & Objectives

The Black Hand operates with little to no objective, they exist simply to destroy. They take a particular interest in disrupting the activities of the Powerful factions. Blowing up their stuff and killing their doods.

The Black Hand could be described as a cult, generally they kill maim and destroy in the name of their deity, Chernobog "Literally: Black God", but they are known to occasionally recruit minifigs to their Legion as well. Typically by going after social outcasts and edgelord pariahs in communities, or by simply kidnapping capable minifigs and brainwashing or cursing them with magik into joining their forces. A large portion of their forces are derived from Trained soldiers of other factions who have defected and fallen to darkness.

Leadership

The Black Hand is led by the evil warlord Charon, assisted by a collection of lesser lords and cronies. Aside from the Warlord very little structure exists within the Legion. There are very few officers or anyone who could be considered leaders. Generally The most powerful Warriors or Mages will assume tactical leadership positions, but in the grand scheme of things The Black Hand is seemingly an unorganized rabble of psychopaths and fiends. Afterall it doesn't take much coordination to set a bunch of freaks loose on a path of wanton destruction

Chernobog		Deity	Original name unknown, Chernobog became A rogue ancient, said to have been the first to betray his kind in the circle of Ancients, he had a demented obsession with causing pain and suffering. He used his power to create the Black Hand. He eventually destroyed his physical body in order to become one with the dark magik of the realm.	Corporeal form destroyed.

Kain		Black Champion	Introduced in Chapter 1, Kain was a henchman of Charon, prior to the collapse of the Lazarus gates, the Black Legion had a small number of dark energy weapons that they used to murder others with. Kain was one of the said executioners. He killed a number of Anwar Ancients at Basil, and then led a campaign against the Stroiteliga Bratva, ultimately ending in his own demise at the second battle of Isere. Military

The Black Hand specializes in brute force, dealing raw damage. Their troops while numerous, carry a disproportionate amount of high caliber Big Guns and heavy weapons, far more than any other. many troops possess heavy armor and/or veteran training, many of their troops carry savage and brutal melee weapons. And to top it all offand they are supported by dastardly sorcerers of black magik, most notably the ability to teleport their forces anywhere on the battlefield.
