The Lando Accords was a major treaty signed in Cloud City in G.R. 2003. It guaranteed equal rights to brown minifigs in almost all star nations, even in typically racist countries like the Assyrian Star Empire. The rationale given by proponents of the treaty was "because that's racist."
The galactic tone shifted with the subsequent rise of peaches, who were refused equal rights in many countries and often racially persecuted unlike their brown brethren.
B'lack Obama's claim to being the first peach President of the United Systems Alliance has been disputed by his critics, citing the Lando Accords and his being a brown minifig.
