Captured, specifically, will be shown mostly from the perspective of the narrator. I’ll do my best to finagle a kind of first person cam mode for the pictures. If it doesn’t work out well, then probably I won’t try it again in any future iSoaps. Luckily, being a trial run, Captured shouldn’t be very long.
Also, I’ve never used the poll function on the forums. I see it as an option when I create a new post but I have no idea if I’ll be able to change the poll when a new narrative decision comes up or if you have to be a mod to do that sort of thing. I suppose if it tanks out, there are some other voting options out there.
I have no idea what the intervals between scenes will look like. I still need to continue my forum battle at some point. But I do hope there is some interest. Enough Talky, let’s begin.

I know every inch of this cell, this hellhole. It has been my own personal nightmare to wake each day and find myself continually imprisoned within its confines. I have paced over its grated floors, thrown myself uselessly at its concrete walls, and been driven mad by the incessant, pulsing hum of the energy conduit which encircles it. I have heard the faintest sounds through its ventilation systems…sounds of talking…and of battle. Oh, how I miss the fighting. But that seems like a lifetime ago and, aside from the groaning, creaking, and humming of what I fear will be my final resting place, it has been quiet for so long. Too long.

I don’t know how long I’ve been here, dying by inches. I don’t even really remember much about my former life or who I am, really. I only remember the blindingly bright portals and the swarming armies that poured through them. They came and with them came chaos, bewildering and devastating. I remember how they cut most of us down before they took the remainder. Then, scientists, doctors, and pain. So much pain. Now, all that remains of my home and my people are the vague shadows in my mind. Meaningless shapes. I agonize over their loss but I can’t even remember why.

They took it all from me. But then, as suddenly as they had come, they left me alone to rot in here. No more scientists came through my door. And with their absence, the pain finally began to recede. No more experiments, no more bodily or mental tortures to endure. I don’t know who they were or what they wanted from me. But I know that I feel clearer than I have in a long time. I know I hear the call of battle singing in my blood. And I know I cannot stay in this evil dungeon for a second longer.

I have to get out. I don’t care what it takes. I don’t care what it costs. I don’t even remember what the other side of that damned door looks like but I need to find out. I need to breathe in the fresh air again. I need to see the sky. I need to run free, leap into the nearest battle, and feel the blood of enemies rain down upon me. I must break free. But how?
Please choose one of the following options. You may also make a post with an alternate write-in option or make a post in support of an existing write-in.
Option 1: Attempt to leverage the door open with anything he can get his hands on.
Option 2: Disrupt the purple energy conduit that flows all the way around the room in the hope that it powers the door in some way.
Option 3: Cry for help.
Next: Escape the Cell!
