* Bull garrison *
Angrix groaned as he pushed himself up, wondering whether he had hit his head too hard as he was suddenly confronted by a kind of warriors he had never seen before and had no clue of how they had appeared right behind his fortress.
Angrix: "Who are you?"
Officer: "We are the Falx Republic and have come to enslave you. Resistance is futile."
Angrix: "We'll see about that!"
He scrambled towards the Starcapes' dropped weapons.
"YAAAAA!"
Headshot baby! Two shots, two kills.
Angrix went completely mental, rushing to pick up melee weapons.
Faced with the general's rage, the crossbowmen quickly drew their sabres.
Angrix' mace missed. The magic sword hit, but he felt how tough the Falx armour was because it failed to penetrate.
One of the crossbowmen yelped as he cut off his own hand. The other failed to penetrate Angrix' thick armour with his sabre.
A crossbowman ran up the stairs, noticing the danger, and hit the lever.
The gate was closed, and the crossbowman could be happy with himself.
The phalanx' attack on the wraiths was devastating. Three were cut down despite their attempts to dodge or block.
The shark got what he had been waiting for.
The phalanx couldn't hit the skeletons just yet, but they were ready to react the moment they jumped the walls.
On the other side the heavies slowly walked into position.
A cannon was aimed at the biggest target in range.
Uh-oh. Weapon malfunction. Medieval cannons, love 'em or hate 'em. The gunpowder barrel exploded along, creating a size 4 explosion that easily overkilled the nearby two phalanx.
The door was also knocked from it's hinges and onto the knight, who fell down, but was unharmed.
Crossbowmen fired on the skeletons scaling the walls harmlessly.
On the other side however, three were knocked off the walls, picked off by well-aimed shots.
A bitchy witch also fell, shot down by Valarius.
... who had moved to a safer position again.
The giant felt a little pin prick as a crossbowmen shot into his armour from close range.
A wraith was hit by the single crossbowman on the other side, but the creature survived.
Also, the gate had to be closed too from the new threat... Sorry 'bout that.
