I never mind new Lego sets, no matter what they're based on. It always gives us new pieces, colors, minifigure parts, etc.

I never keep sets together longer than 5 seconds, so I'm pretty excited about this.

I never buy set much more just Bricklink or yard sale, but you do have a good point there. :ftw:

I think PotC would make an awesome line, but that's just my opinion. Both Pirates lines have made even the pirate ships a little too colourful for my tastes. Now that this will be based on a movie with nice ships such as the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman, the ships will look alot nicer. I also think the minifigs would be sweet, especially if they went back to the first three movies and made a Davy Jones minifig with custom arms.

I think a really cool set would be the ruins with a break-off water wheel form Dead Man's Chest.

Come to think of it, a Black Pearl with the zombie-ish crew would be awesome.

Yea, think of all the new pieces. Zombie/skeletons, Davy Jones's crewmen, the crazy hats and stuff like that, probably a few soldiers, etc.

Honestly, I think the reason mega bloks has the marvel license is due to the fact Iron man had sex, and lego didn't want to teach kids anything inappropriate, so they didn't take the license.

Has anyone ever noticed how the only peach minifigs are from non-original themes? Like the Prince of Persia is not original to lego, so the sets are peaches, and themes like World Racers and Agents are original, so they are yellow...

Well, yeah. That's the point. Lego uses peach minifigs for licensed themes such as movies and sports to make them look more realistic.

Examples: Harry Potter 3-4, Prince of Persia, weird penis 2, NBA players, Michael Schumacher and the other three F1 racers, Avatar, Speed Racer, more recent Star Wars sets, and the list goes on.

They didn't start making Peaches until 2004 I believe, it was the same year as the great grey shift IIRC.

Actually the peach shift happened after the gray shift, so there are some licensed sets that have new bleys with yellow figs, like Rebel Snowspeeder from 2004.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

If they are going to do tie ins with Disney owned IP then I would love to see TRON sets. I would love one f the light cycles and one of the tanks.

What can I say, I loved the movie. :D
