Synopsis:
This exo-skeleton (or exo frame) has been nicknamed the Exo-Grunt due to it's flexibility of use and multipurpose design. One minute a loading bay technician is moving cargo units, a quick modular equipment exchange, and it's a combat ready heavy assault frame! Shown here is the combat version because, frankly, who gives a shit about how it loads cargo? Not only is it a capable land walker but it's also equipped with long range thrust engines and flight computer systems.
Key Features:
- Exo-skeletal frame is powered by redundant energy cells and operates by redundant servo systems. These high torque servos give this frame a lot of flexibility; such as full range aiming in front as well as precise aiming at targets behind.
- Modular interface built into the ends of the arms. Different weapons, cargo movers, and other components can be quickly unhooked, dismounted, and replaced. This exo frame can quickly be adapted from cargo loader to combat ready in a matter of minutes! (note: this implies that other components are readily available and technicians are on hand to perform the exchange)
- Thrust engines are mounted to the rear shoulders. With these the exo frame can perform "hops" similar to a frog. However these engines are the same used in long range aircraft making this vehicle also capable of long range flights.
- Built into the top, back, of this unit is a drop ship interface. Jump drop ships can load up whole squads of these frames which can be dropped from long range and they can deploy themselves into tactical positions on the battlefield.
- Mounted on the back of every Exo-Grunt is a field repair droid. With out even leaving his cockpit the pilot can deploy the repair droid, make repairs, and stay on the battle field even longer.
Weaponry:
- Right hand has two plasma cannons with ammunition canisters mounted on top. Under those are two high caliber pulse rifles with power cells mounted below.
- Left hand has a cluster cannon (5 plasma cannons) with ammunition canisters mounted below. On top are two high caliber pulse rifles with power cells mounted above.
- Below the cockpit is a single high powered rifle mounted on a small turret. While it's doesn't have nearly as much flexibility in aiming like the arms it is much more accurate when firing on targets in range. Pilots lovingly refer to it as the 'wang' and usually call out over com. channels "money shot!" any time they sore a kill with this rifle.
Limitations:
- Cockpit is only covered by a transparent canopy. While it's quite effective against small arms it is useless against high caliber and high power weapons.
- Walking speed is limited compared to tracked or wheeled vehicles of a similar weight and class. Pilots are trained and encouraged to leverage the thrust engines. Perhaps software upgrades in the future will give this exo frame the capability to run or sprint but as of now it can only walk.

Here you can see the wide range each weapon has for aiming ahead and to the side. That's not all though as you'll see in the next image it is fully capable of covering it's ass!

Demonstrating a "behind the back" shot. As you can see it can easily aim behind at any angle just as well as aiming ahead.
